About Me

Ayman Kandeel is currently the Founder and Chairman of Fanarah Development, LLC, a company that he founded in 2012. As an economist and businessman, Ayman Kandeel is best known.

AK's $680 million sale to Inertia Developments was orchestrated and handled by Ayman Kandeel, founder and CEO of Cairo-based boutique investment firm Borak Capital Holding. Most of AKREM's investors saw a return of more than 300 percent on this deal.

This is Egypt's first attempt to create an integrated destination along the Mediterranean seafront, and it was launched in 2015 under Dr. Kandeel's guidance. At its current size, the project has become the largest Mediterranean-front development of its kind anywhere on the whole Mediterranean Sea coast.

Many of Dr. Kandeel's financial enterprises, such as Borak Capital Holding, Arab African International Securities and Pi Capital, were formed and co-managed between 1999 and 2009. He's raised a lot of money for a lot of different companies in the tech, real estate, entertainment, and finance industries, among others.

A well-known comic book publisher, AK Comics, was formed in 2001 by Dr. Kandeel and has since published over forty titles in multiple languages, including English, Arabic, Greek, and Chinese. AK Comics imagined a peaceful Middle East in the future, so they produced a Muslim, a Jewish, and a Christian superhero/superheroine. Their entire world revolves around the idea of defending an imaginary Middle Eastern parallel against plots that want to destabilize an alleged future peace in the region. There are several well-known politicians who have been introduced to him as a result of his appearances on numerous media channels like the BBC (NPR), CNN (CNN), Al Jazeera (Al Jazeera), and John Stewart's The Daily Show (NBC).

Dr. Kandeel has a strong interest in the advertising field. When Bonus Advertising was created in 1995, JWT bought it out. Currently, JWT Cairo is Egypt's top ad agency by far. One of Egypt's best-known below-the-line advertising businesses, Advision, counts him as one of its shareholders.

Professor Kandeel holds a Ph.D. in emerging financial markets from USC, an MA in economics from the American University in Cairo, as well as an MA in economics from the University of Southern California. As an instructor at Cairo University, he taught from 2003 to 2009. In addition to the University of Southern California and California State University, Long Beach, he taught at both institutions. He made the decision to leave academia in April of that year, so that he could dedicate all of his time and energy to his enterprises in the United States and Egypt, respectively.

While Dr. Kandeel is currently on the boards of several firms, he has previously served on the boards of several others.
